Sometimes you just cannot win

Sometimes you just cannot win. I played some auction 45 today, and lost twice. I was not getting any fives, and only a few Jacks and other cards were not enough to produce a victory. The other team was hitting, getting the cards we were going on, and putting us down quite often.

It is either you hit, or miss. Luck is like that. Maybe tomorrow, the cards may turn, and we may win again. I do not get frustrated at cards, as I know it is a game of chance. There is some small details, that can however, produce better results. If you think someone is bluffing, and then set them down. If you have good setting cards, you can let the team bid and watch them fall. But, I do find, there is some instances where the luck is totally against you, and the house of cards fall down. It is a great game.

I remember an old an that used to play with us. He would go 120 for 60, on just a five. Most of the time, he would make it. If you take the odds of making it, it is actually probably 50 %? I am not sure. Depends what is in your partners hand, and your opponents. All I know, is that he was a high bidder and did well at the table. He is not with us, unfortunately, any more, but his bids are still in my mind and my heart.  Every time my back is against the wall in cards, I think of him and, sometimes, bid hard.

Carbon tax. At first, the Canadian Federal Government, under the Liberals, unrolled a tax where 90 % of it was exposed to go back to the payers of the program.  Now, just that sentence alone. Think about it. 10 % going to schools, hospitals... I guess... And 90 % going back to the pocket that spent it... But, not your direct pocket. Not saying all of the provinces would have done it in the same way. At the first roll out, New Brunswick, the province in which I lived, just reduced the tax on gasoline to make up for the carbon tax increase. The feds said, no no, that is not right.. That is not what it is intended to be with this carbon tax.. So eventually, we may have gotten back one carbon tax check one year, and I truly forget. Borador- labrador collie mix

 Borador, we got this pup in the fall of 2022, and was a dog that looked more like a black labrador when he was a pup. We got him around 4 to 5 months old, and was a biter. He loved to bite. He loved to eat rocks. You could take him for walks, and, he would start picking up rocks and chewing on them. Some, he swallowed. For sure, we tried to give him a treat, to get the rock out of his mouth before he swallowed some of them. We had to learn also, to take him on trails where there was no little rocks for him to chew or swallow. He would, puke them up, at night and it made us worry about him very much. Then winter came, froze the ground for 4 months or so. Good thing, as he forgot about picking up rocks as the winter passed and 2023 summer is here. He now, likes chasing and fetching sticks.  He did do messes in the house the first 2 months we had him at the house. He eventually, learned to go outside to do his things. They say you are more famous when you are dead.. lol...

 Have to see, and say, the viewership on this blog, has nearly tripled since its start in 2012 approximately. I went through a dry spell from 2014 to 2016, then a spike in 2017, then 2020 a short blip of a month or so, and finally the last 6 months of 2022 to today, I have been getting viewership spikes in the 1000s, outpacing my first 2012 by 3 times as many viewers. And, I have not been producing any books during this time, even creating anything. It is mostly from the USA, then France, Eastern European countries, Russia, and a few from Asia views. True what they say,  you are more famous when you are dead when you are a creator, than alive. I feel dead right now. I have nothing on the board to create, no focus or means to get Part 5 done. There is no release of anything to any publisher at this point in time. Strange how marketing goes. You take the famous Budweiser, with Spuds Mckenzie long ago.
