Wolf may have been shot in Caraquet - St Simon area.

At first, they thought it may have been a coyote. But, it weighed approximately 90 lbs. They are sending the animal for DNA tests to determine if it maybe a wolf, or a mix breed of coyote wolf.  Last time a wolf was killed in the province, was back in 1876.

I always thought, that there could be wolves out there, in the backwoods of New Brunswick. Even if they did have a cull, how would they know if they shot each and every one of them. It is impossible to scan each and every corner of the woods, after all. Another animal, the lynx is on the endangered species list, but its growing number of sightings puts into question their listing.

The eastern Cougar is said to be gone from New Brunswick Forest as well. But, these animals can travel 100s of kilometers. Who is to say, one could not make it over from Quebec, which has a large amount of forestry lands.

Then, there is the problem of co existing with the human population. Can we allow the wolves to return to N.B.? Can we allow the Cougars to return to our forests as well?  Personally, I believe there is a place for these animals far away from our rural villages and towns. In national parks, if we can contain them there. We have heard of even coyotes attacking people, and killing them. For this reason, governments must keep populations extremely low, in order to protect the general population. While it appears only tracks were found of Cougars in N.B back in 1992,  it would be a frightening experience to meet face to face with one in the woods.

Always take precautions when travelling in the woods,  never go alone, go in groups if necessary. Carry a 30 feet or greater pepper spray mace can, with a wide spray. This way, no accuracy is required in order to defend yourself. It did work in repelling a cougar away, during an attack a long time ago in British Columbia.

Besides that, no news on the book. All is quiet, till next time...

Carbon tax. At first, the Canadian Federal Government, under the Liberals, unrolled a tax where 90 % of it was exposed to go back to the payers of the program.  Now, just that sentence alone. Think about it. 10 % going to schools, hospitals... I guess... And 90 % going back to the pocket that spent it... But, not your direct pocket. Not saying all of the provinces would have done it in the same way. At the first roll out, New Brunswick, the province in which I lived, just reduced the tax on gasoline to make up for the carbon tax increase. The feds said, no no, that is not right.. That is not what it is intended to be with this carbon tax.. So eventually, we may have gotten back one carbon tax check one year, and I truly forget. Borador- labrador collie mix

 Borador, we got this pup in the fall of 2022, and was a dog that looked more like a black labrador when he was a pup. We got him around 4 to 5 months old, and was a biter. He loved to bite. He loved to eat rocks. You could take him for walks, and, he would start picking up rocks and chewing on them. Some, he swallowed. For sure, we tried to give him a treat, to get the rock out of his mouth before he swallowed some of them. We had to learn also, to take him on trails where there was no little rocks for him to chew or swallow. He would, puke them up, at night and it made us worry about him very much. Then winter came, froze the ground for 4 months or so. Good thing, as he forgot about picking up rocks as the winter passed and 2023 summer is here. He now, likes chasing and fetching sticks.  He did do messes in the house the first 2 months we had him at the house. He eventually, learned to go outside to do his things. They say you are more famous when you are dead.. lol...

 Have to see, and say, the viewership on this blog, has nearly tripled since its start in 2012 approximately. I went through a dry spell from 2014 to 2016, then a spike in 2017, then 2020 a short blip of a month or so, and finally the last 6 months of 2022 to today, I have been getting viewership spikes in the 1000s, outpacing my first 2012 by 3 times as many viewers. And, I have not been producing any books during this time, even creating anything. It is mostly from the USA, then France, Eastern European countries, Russia, and a few from Asia views. True what they say,  you are more famous when you are dead when you are a creator, than alive. I feel dead right now. I have nothing on the board to create, no focus or means to get Part 5 done. There is no release of anything to any publisher at this point in time. Strange how marketing goes. You take the famous Budweiser, with Spuds Mckenzie long ago.
