Total of 14 books and 10 sold.

So far in 2012, I sold 10 books out of 14 at a little corner bookstore in Bathurst, so far. This is a 71 % success rate. And the year is not even over, yet. This is with a city population of 14 thousand approx.

I did not opt for to offer returns for my book. I found it maybe to risky, and where I could get caught with allot of returns. Even if it is a good seller at this bookstore, in my little corner of the world, I still feel not comfortable knowing where the books goes, and how it is promoted on the shelf.

If I knew that bookstores would keep the book on hand for at least a year (not a month), then returns would probably be worth the while. I am unsure if even my publishing company, would try a limited returns policy.

A returns policy, that lets say will allow an author to receive returns on a forgivable amount. Something an author could handle, if things went south. Maybe a hundred returns offered, a thousand? Depends on the individual, but it makes for a great way for an author to test the waters in the returns system, without getting too many books coming back.

I will talk to my publisher about this. It is always the same, when something is not chartered beforehand, it is hard to get into the motions of the thing.

Carbon tax. At first, the Canadian Federal Government, under the Liberals, unrolled a tax where 90 % of it was exposed to go back to the payers of the program.  Now, just that sentence alone. Think about it. 10 % going to schools, hospitals... I guess... And 90 % going back to the pocket that spent it... But, not your direct pocket. Not saying all of the provinces would have done it in the same way. At the first roll out, New Brunswick, the province in which I lived, just reduced the tax on gasoline to make up for the carbon tax increase. The feds said, no no, that is not right.. Borador- labrador collie mix

 Borador, we got this pup in the fall of 2022, and was a dog that looked more like a black labrador when he was a pup. We got him around 4 to 5 months old, and was a biter. He loved to bite. He loved to eat rocks. You could take him for walks, and, he would start picking up rocks and chewing on them. Some, he swallowed. For sure, we tried to give him a treat, to get the rock out of his mouth before he swallowed some of them. We had to learn also, to take him on trails where there was no little rocks for him to chew or swallow. He would, puke them up, at night and it made us worry about him very much. Then winter came, froze the ground for 4 months or so. Good thing, as he forgot about picking up rocks as the winter passed and 2023 summer is here. He now, likes chasing and fetching sticks.  He did do messes in the house the first 2 months we had him at the house. He eventually, learned to go outside to do his things. They say you are more famous when you are dead.. lol...

 Have to see, and say, the viewership on this blog, has nearly tripled since its start in 2012 approximately. I went through a dry spell from 2014 to 2016, then a spike in 2017, then 2020 a short blip of a month or so, and finally the last 6 months of 2022 to today, I have been getting viewership spikes in the 1000s, outpacing my first 2012 by 3 times as many viewers. And, I have not been producing any books during this time, even creating anything. It is mostly from the USA, then France, Eastern European countries, Russia, and a few from Asia views. True what they say,  you are more famous when you are dead when you are a creator, than alive. I feel dead right now. I have nothing on the board to create, no focus or means to get Part 5 done. There is no release of anything to any publisher at this point in time. Strange how marketing goes. You take the famous Budweiser, with Spuds Mckenzie long ago.
