Purchased two books from my authors friend list!

Yes, I went and done it again! I purchased two books from my authors friend list! One is a sort of romance novel, the other a mystical magical one. The first of the two, will not be available until next year. The author told me in a message, just as soon as I purchased the book. This took me by surprise, as I never ordered a book before that was not actually in print.

The fact that the book is in the works, and is currently showing available for purchase on Amazon, yet not truly available, is an interesting sales strategy.

First, the sales from the book may possibly only show up when the book is ordered? Or am I thinking wrong here. Could this boost the Amazon ranking, place the book in the top 100, once the orders go through in a year... Possibly, many orders, all happening at the same time. Truly, if I would have known that the book would take that long to get here, I may not have ordered it. As, I needed a book to read, right now. So, it caused me to order another. This one is in publication.

Albeit, a very interesting concept. A book that is ready for sale on Amazon, yet not in physical print, until next year. I did not know, you could do that sort of thing. It can be a good, and a bad thing. As I had pointed to above, it may boost sales in some way that I never imagined. Perhaps the sales will only show up when the book is first released, creating a massive buoy effect.. Very interesting.. On the other hand, people who buy the book will wonder- when is it going to arrive, and become frustrated with the wholesaler and the author... I am not frustrated to say, but glad she told me of the situation. Or, I would have been checking and double checking on why the book is not arriving at its intended destination, after two weeks or so... In all fairness, now that I look back, the book said it may arrive after Dec. 25th, 2013, from the Amazon site.. Easy to miss that one, in the print. The author did tell me that it would not be available for another year, in the e mail.. Oh well..

On my end of things, nothing has changed. Without any book contests, my book is as dead as a duck in the water... I feel my writing career is probably over now, but I am satisfied with creating 3 books...

Someone told me the other day that 3 is a powerful number. 3 in religions, 3 in the Pyramids of Giza and other cultures, in which Pythagorean has said it is the noblest of all numbers... Somehow, I am glad I stopped at 3...

Carbon tax. At first, the Canadian Federal Government, under the Liberals, unrolled a tax where 90 % of it was exposed to go back to the payers of the program.  Now, just that sentence alone. Think about it. 10 % going to schools, hospitals... I guess... And 90 % going back to the pocket that spent it... But, not your direct pocket. Not saying all of the provinces would have done it in the same way. At the first roll out, New Brunswick, the province in which I lived, just reduced the tax on gasoline to make up for the carbon tax increase. The feds said, no no, that is not right.. That is not what it is intended to be with this carbon tax.. So eventually, we may have gotten back one carbon tax check one year, and I truly forget. Borador- labrador collie mix

 Borador, we got this pup in the fall of 2022, and was a dog that looked more like a black labrador when he was a pup. We got him around 4 to 5 months old, and was a biter. He loved to bite. He loved to eat rocks. You could take him for walks, and, he would start picking up rocks and chewing on them. Some, he swallowed. For sure, we tried to give him a treat, to get the rock out of his mouth before he swallowed some of them. We had to learn also, to take him on trails where there was no little rocks for him to chew or swallow. He would, puke them up, at night and it made us worry about him very much. Then winter came, froze the ground for 4 months or so. Good thing, as he forgot about picking up rocks as the winter passed and 2023 summer is here. He now, likes chasing and fetching sticks.  He did do messes in the house the first 2 months we had him at the house. He eventually, learned to go outside to do his things. They say you are more famous when you are dead.. lol...

 Have to see, and say, the viewership on this blog, has nearly tripled since its start in 2012 approximately. I went through a dry spell from 2014 to 2016, then a spike in 2017, then 2020 a short blip of a month or so, and finally the last 6 months of 2022 to today, I have been getting viewership spikes in the 1000s, outpacing my first 2012 by 3 times as many viewers. And, I have not been producing any books during this time, even creating anything. It is mostly from the USA, then France, Eastern European countries, Russia, and a few from Asia views. True what they say,  you are more famous when you are dead when you are a creator, than alive. I feel dead right now. I have nothing on the board to create, no focus or means to get Part 5 done. There is no release of anything to any publisher at this point in time. Strange how marketing goes. You take the famous Budweiser, with Spuds Mckenzie long ago.
